The Garter Gang members are Grace, Jen and Esther. We are
all long-time knitters with a motley background in art, community education and
training, conflict resolution, animation, catering, web design and workplace relations.
We have one thing in common – we love to knit.
We are the founding members of a long-running and ever-growing
Hobart knitting group and 2 of us work as knitting teachers at a local yarn
store.
We like to support our local community and are interested in
projects that promote community spirit. Our acts of public knitting are done to
make people smile, get people talking and, we hope, to get people to loosen up
a bit.
